Web Developer CCP Access

If a reseller/customer calls in and wants to give CCP access to another person but only for web development, and for a specific subscription, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to PBA and pull up customer account

2. Go to Roles and click “Add Role”, Name “Nobody”

3. Assign “Allowes to view own Orders” Privilege only

4. You can now create an admin user, then assign the “Nobody” role created on steps 2 and 3

5. Now go to CCP > Account > Admins and click the admin user you created

6. Click “Manage Advanced Settings”, Delete whatever role was assigned by default (usually “Staff member defaults”)

7. Then add the “Web Developer” role and go to the “Managed Subscriptions” tab

8. On that page click “Restrict Access” then select the specific subscriptions you need this admin user to manage then click “Submit”

NOTE:

– Assigning the “Web Developer” customer role should be enough. But when going to registered domains, it shows all registered domains for the whole account. That is why Steps 2 and 3 are necessary, because by default, all admin users are assigned the “Full Access” role on the billing side. Hence, the issue about the registered domains showing up.

– The “Web Developer” customer role has already been tailor fit to have the privileges webdevs require (see details below) and nothing more. Therefore, there is no need to tweak permissions everytime a customer calls in about this concern as long as we assign the “Web Developer” customer role.
